Great enthusiasm in Torino for Argo presentation of it's new visual identity

Great enthusiasm. Media attention. Curiosity of the public, thought in more than 30.000 visitors.

 All this marked out the presence of ARGO-French Kiss in Vittorio Veneto Square in Turin, from June 20 to 24: an event begun with the unveiling of the new boat and closed in the beautiful setting of fireworks for the celebrations for St. John, the city patron saint.

 The unveiling

Neither the cloudburst which hit Turin a few hours before stopped ARGO-French kiss inauguration, on Wednesday June 20. A ceremony that took place with the presence of important authorities, among which Roger Pfund, the Swiss artist who created the new graphics of the boat, as well as all the visual identity of Argo project.

 The visits

After the unveiling the visits to ARGO-French Kiss began, by Turin people and tourists. It has been estimated that in five days more than 30.000 visitors could see it from close up the semi-finalist boat of XXVI America’s Cup and winner in October – with ARGO’s crew – of “Les Voiles de Saint Tropez” Trophy, one of the most important sailing events in the Mediterranean.

 The other enterprises and the conclusion

Besides the exposition in the square, other appointments were organized to celebrate the unveiling of the new boat: the presentation of the book “Argo. A modern story beyond sailing” in a bookshop in centre and a blues concert (Friday June 22) and a dj set on Saturday night, June 23. All ARGO-French Kiss events were part of St. John celebrations, which always end with a great pyrotechnical display. So there could not be a better conclusion, with the game of fireworks reflections on the boat white hull, for an event that is going to be a new turning point in the Argo challenge.

 Media attention

It is not usual to see a boat in a square, even more if this boat carries a social and sport message like Argo’s one. Hence the interest of media, which on this occasion began to give space to the project, through articles on newspapers and websites, radio passages, reports on local and national television news and even the live broadcast on a regional tv on June 24 evening.

 Partners

During the five days Argo was supported by Sinergia, which for the occasion proposed to the public a promotional stall with catalogues and posters. The firm als chose to promove its new website, www.sinergia-solutions.it: a precious instrument to present its own activity on the market, renewed on the base of the most modern web communication standards.

So a dutiful thanks goes to all the people who dreamt with us in these days, finding out that Argo dream is coming true.
